What is the Good Life? Tim Knipp Gen. 2:1-3

The doorway is reached
    through
          toil and completed work.
Step across the
       threshold
          into the holy day
       of rest.
Bless the day -
    allow rest
       to have its way
            with you
      and
flourish.
        Listen to the silence
          that isn't
             silence at all.
Be still and
     feel the earth rotate,
            the wind breathe.
Lean into
        the King's strength
                   and care;
       enjoy the kingdom
                 He created.
Rest in Him.
Turn your striving aside and trust.
 Remember His blessings.
              Enjoy with God
                   the cheerful chickadees
              delighting
                 in the bubbling fountain;
                    the young stag
            wandering through dew wet grass.
Receive even the rain
         on a summer day
                   as a gift,
                        and marvel.

Genesis - Tim Knipp

Genesis 1:1 - 2:3

Not from violence
Did it come
Sparkling raindrop, twinkling star.

Not to enslave
But delight,
Soft fur, glittering feathers, rustling leaves.

Good and very good.

Pentecost, Dan Pursley 6/8/14

Power.
En-Powered.
[you will be] baptized in power
to carry on the mission.

Wait for it.

You can't manufacture it
or
even
imagine it.

So wait.

It will cause a commotion
[co-motion],
liveliness,
a whirlwind
of Power.

Then go.

Go - go -go.

It is a commission [co-mission;
I go with with you].

So go.
